Ripley Valley is a large master-planned greenfield development that is expected to experience significant population growth. Forecast growth is expected to exceed the capacity of the existing state schools servicing the area by 2021.

The proposal considers the construction of a new state primary and/or secondary school to address forecast growth in the school-aged population.
Better use of existing facilities and policy reform options also need to be considered as options to help address forecast growth, prior to the establishment of a new school.

The project is expected to:

  • provide a cost-effective and efficiently utilised school network
  • deliver quality educational outcomes and opportunities
  • foster an improved sense of community and improved amenity and facilities
  • increase student and community safety, convenience and satisfaction.
