The need for an infrastructure upgrade at Caboolture Hospital has been identified. This includes improvement of patient and staff amenity, more efficient work flows and flexibility to respond to changing service requirements including future capacity growth.

The objectives of the proposal are to:

  • relieve pressure on current infrastructure by increasing capacity on site
  • help address growth in patient demand and achieve National Elective Surgery Target (NEST) and National Emergency Access Target (NEAT) requirements
  • provide the right care, right place and right time via dedicated functional spaces
  • future-proof the facility for technical improvements and flexible space.

Options to address these objectives are currently under development.

Subject to government endorsing the preliminary business case, site master planning including preparation of the project definition plan and schematic design will be undertaken during the business case development stage.

Complete Preliminary Evaluation.
