An upgrade and expansion of the convention centre is proposed to meet potential unmet demand for national and international conventions on the Gold Coast.

The project could facilitate additional national and international conventions for the Gold Coast with resultant economic benefits to the region and state.

The convention centre currently consists of a range of exhibition halls, meeting rooms and associated facilities. The proposed expansion of the convention centre seeks to provide additional exhibition and meeting facilities to cater for an increase in patrons.
