The Emergency Department of the Logan Hospital is experiencing capacity issues due to a lack of availability of acute beds for admission and ongoing care. The capacity issue is being impacted by a growing demand for healthcare services at the Emergency Department and an inability to implement further efficiency measures to improve availability of acute beds within the existing footprint of the hospital.

Options are being developed to identify and deliver an optimum infrastructure upgrade to enable Logan Hospital to meet core service requirements, as well as future proof the site for further staged expansion.

Subject to government endorsing the preliminary evaluation, preparation of the project definition plan and schematic design will be undertaken as part of the detailed business case development stage.

Complete Preliminary Evaluation.
