Ipswich Hospital Redevelopment (Stage 1A)
Building Queensland is leading the development of the Ipswich Hospital Redevelopment (Stage 1A) Detailed Business Case in partnership with West Moreton Health and the Department of Health. The detailed business case is investigating the development of a new acute mental health facility, new carpark, new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and building refurbishments to relocate administration, community health and non-specialist outpatient services.

The Toowoomba Hospital is operating at capacity in a number of areas and the hospital currently faces long emergency department waiting times and overcrowding. Forecast demand, driven by a growing and ageing population and high levels of chronic disease, is expected to place further pressure on the hospital.
